This is the vintage jersey of the former French team La redoute from the 1985 season. Irishman Stephen Roche was the team leader and he distinguished himself in the Tour de France by winning a stage and finishing 3rd in the event behind winner Bernard Hinault and American Greg Lemond.
Roche also won several stages in the Tour of Ireland in the last professional season of La Redoute, one of the most sympathetic teams of the 1980s. The team was sponsored by the French mail-order company La Redoute.
