The dutch PDM cycling team was one of the emblematic teams in the peloton during the 1980s. In 1987, Pedro Delgado was very close to winning the Tour de France.
The following year, Steven Rooks was the driving force behind the Tour de France, also finishing 2nd. During its existence, the PDM team was known for its distinctive white jerseys with blue and red stripes.
The PDM team was also known for its pioneering use of sports science and technology in cycling. The team was one of the first to use power meters to measure riders’ output and to use wind tunnels to test equipment and optimize aerodynamics.
