Faema black cycling set
This is the all-black cycling outfit of the former Faema team. The Faema cycling team was one of the most successful and influential professional cycling teams in the history of the sport.
The team existed in various forms between 1955 and 1962, and then again from 1968 to 1970. Faema, an Italian espresso machine manufacturer, sponsored the team.
The Faema team is perhaps most famous for its association with Eddy Merckx, widely regarded as one of the greatest cyclists of all time.
Merckx joined Faema in 1968, and during his time with the team, he won numerous races, including the Tour de France in 1969, where he dominated in a fashion rarely seen before or since.
Under Faema, Merckx also won the Giro d’Italia twice (1968, 1970) and numerous other prestigious races, including Milan-San Remo, Paris-Roubaix, and the Giro di Lombardia.
