The team can count on its champions Roger De Vlaeminck, Hennie Kuiper and Adie Van Der Poel. The team was sponsored by the Dutch truck manufacturer DAF Trucks and was managed by former professional cyclist and team owner Jan Gisbers.

Kuiper won the Giro of Lombardy and the Tour of Flanders while De Vlaeminck finished 2nd in Paris-Roubaix behind Bernard Hinault.
